Facilitated by Geelong Salsa, this beginner-friendly workshop is designed for people with little to no dance experience. Everything is broken down step-by-step, so you can learn the foundations, find your rhythm and feel comfortable moving to the music in a relaxed and social atmosphere.

You don’t need to bring someone with you, and you won’t be stuck dancing with the same person all night. The class is group-based and easy to follow, with opportunities to dance with different people as you learn.

Dance can also be a simple way to practise self-care and grounding, especially when life feels stressful. Moving your body, focusing on rhythm and music, and being present in the moment can give you a chance to step away from everyday pressures, reconnect with yourself and simply enjoy the moment.

Come as you are, learn at your own pace and enjoy an evening of movement, music and connection. No dance experience required! Drinks, dinner and dessert will be provided.

The Lounge is a drop-in centre, and registrations help with catering.
